I don't think it's fair to expect to have that kind of lineup consistently, but I would expect to have a few players on our team a short 4 years later that would have been able to break into that lineup. We have none. Not a single one. (LaHare has the attitude, but not the talent - he's a good ballplayer but would be 4th or 5th outfielder on that roster)
Who recruited that team vs this team?
I think a better way of putting it was that Trahan recruited the 2012 team as well ! Matt Deggs went out and got Ryan Wilson, Dex Kerjstad, Seth Harrison, and Caleb Adams within a 2 1/2 month period to come in for the 2013 season. I think [not positive] that he also got Carson Baranik [again not sure]. Nonetheless, he went out and got some studs in a short period of time.
I was not disagreeing with you.
My point is that I expect successs, and then see a coaching staff and athletic department do everything possible to build on the type of success we experienced in 2014. I agree that on a whole, it appears what was gained was mostly squandered away.
2014 was lightning in a bottle, won’t be easy to do again if ever, that team was historic..not just here but in history of college baseball. Right now we need to figure out how to get back to 2005,2007,2010,2015,2016. That seems really far away at this point.
