Toro came from Seminole State JC. He hit .374 last year.
We pulled Haden Erbe's scholarship and he went to Seminole State. He is 6-2 with 56Ks in 61 IP.
Who on today’s roster would have earned playing time on the 2014 team? That’s the question here. I’m not sure I can make an argument for anyone. While that on one hand shows how special that team was, it also shows that we’ve done nothing to capitalize on that success.
I also think we relying on freshman to come in immediately and contribute. We just have not gotten that kind of consistent production yet. It’s difficult for those guys to play a game or two and get pulled for another guy. We haven’t settled on any of them. So it’s become a revolving door. And when you struggling as a team u are looking for an immediate fix to get production out of a particular position
That's a terrible excuse. So you're saying 2 guys out of the starting 9 are out injured. If you don't have 2 guys on the bench that can step up and contribute, that falls on the coaching staff for terrible recruiting.
So the injury excuse is just that...an excuse! Quit buying into the Jay Walker spin machine.
Regardless if Gunner is on the team or not...the expectation was to have Young or Horton come in here and compete to be a Friday night kinda arm. Both have shown flashes, and maybe young takes that role after this Friday’s relief appearance. Idk. I don’t think Shultz was brought in and tabbed as the next Friday night arm
Probably has something to do with a combination of Bob Marlin, the Corner Bar Deep State and Jay Walker.
