Let's just quit with all this 💩, this team is 1 and 0 to start the second half of the season and working on a very successful second half.

Part of the explanation is the inevitable cyclical nature of college sports, which I believe. I'd discuss that along with injuries, but that opens the conversation to what can be done to exit the down cycle. Those things can be coaching, development, recruiting, hitting coaches, etc.
Some teams, programs don't suffer cyclical as severely as others. Witchata State has been at a high level in baseball, Ragin Cajuns in softball. Saying cyclical is simply a built in excuse. Being a great program isn't easy, is a rarity. As soon as you start finding out why it's so hard you start becoming willing to accept losing as inevitable.
Consistency is the key. I'm keeping in mind the team has been a top 75 RPI program for many years. That is consistency in the big picture. Not this year and maybe not next year, tho.
I like this two half approach especially cause the first half sucked. Now Monica and Lott are leading the team in hitting! We are finally over .500! Tech, LSU, Monroe coming up!!!!
