He didn't have to deal with APR. But neither did anyone else at the time, so he didn't do anything illegal.

The Easter Bunny really didn't get us probation, but these on-line correspondence courses.

And don’t forget our stud that couldn’t put the hooch down.

We never knew the final makeup of the team until the spring semester. Sometimes it didn’t happen as planned.

Evans walked a fine line I’m sure but man his teams were fun to watch. Almost made up for the Baldwin football years watching bball do its thing then. Harmon, Wade, Greene, Southall when eligible, Boyd, Mitchell etc..... We had athletes on those teams no doubt. There used to be a buzz for Cajun basketball. Need to get back to that.

Yep. I went from a decade of really good seats season tickets to one game a year to appease my kids.

It’s sad. I used to plan my life around home games. Now sometimes I don’t even know we are playing.

This thread has probably got off base just long enough for the big fish to ink another extension.

Agree they were fun to watch, but second option Robert Lee was left a mess. Says a lot for the integrity of the program back then. Almost had a guy with a false resume as a coach.

Again an administration issue. We hired him without vetting him, then felt compelled to hire Lee because they told him he was the runner up.

No, that’s bullsht..a university employee told him his player was eligible. Why would he doubt someone who is paid by the university to make sure students are in compliance?
