Good response on the road after that let down on Wednesday vs. McNeese. Hopefully we are not hurt too much in terms of RPI.

My personal opinion was that coach was putting too much on her pitching so often. I told my pals that before McBrokebacks. Too much stress physically, emotionally, and mentally. The other pitchers need to shoulder some of the load.

I’m sure having a day off and watching someone else pitch helped. The team knows that there is no room for error anymore. Maybe that error already passed with the McNeese loss. That pressure still has to be mentally taxing.

My dad and I discussed this during the Mcneese game. I think we would be better off in the long run to force the other pitchers to grow up and get better in games. If we lose because of that, so be it. But Summer can’t pitch every game and be the pitcher we need to get through regionals and super regionals. If that means going on the road for a regional, at least she will have some gas left in her tank. Hell, we were one call away from advancing on the road last year with a fraction of the offense we have this year.
