I’ve expressed my concerns to Robe in the past. Granted, I’ve been a lot more respectful from a standpoint that I would never rudely vent to him or any other coach for that matter. But I would have nothing to hide.
But also, this is a message board where fans can talk and vent. Unless there’s some unnecessary personal attack on a coach, free speech should reign. We aren’t communist around here (or at least I would hope not).
Would love to tell robe to his face that he is NOT the best pitching coach in America as he says and thinks he is...how many all americans has he ruined in the lsay few years...D-Mo and Gunner are just the latest...maybe russo will start a university and hire him with some more funny$$$$...ROBE...IT'S TOME TO GO...NOW
I think he has agreed for awhile. The 1st grade excuses have stopped. So, there's that. Excuses only work for so long. Sooner than later you gotta produce.
I quit listening to Coaches Corner when I heard 4,000 home fans are too intimidating for our players. Bab, nobody is buying that line. You shouldn't be selling it. The BS needs to stop. We're not stupid.
This is my biggest thing. Someone talked about having Texas size nuts to critique on here. Well, I’ll continue with the sarcasm and say it takes some Texas size nuts to bull____ your fan base in post game, pressers and newspaper articles. I believe he is and has been a good coach for a long time, but his priorities don’t seem to be aimed at winning anymore. He created a knowledgeable fan base and people are starting to see through it. Unfortunately I think his days are numbered. And yes I do believe it’s unfortunate but baseball is one of two sports we actually have a shot at national success and the chances of him bringing us there are slim and none.
I've seen a change in tone from Robe, woefully late tho. Now he admits we suck and not because of the draft, the new ballpark, construction delays or the new lights being too bright. I was very critical of the steady stream of excuses in the past.
At least he publicly says the team has deficiencies, which is progress. I just hope it's not too late.
I’ve seen a move from the non-baseball excuses to the in-game excuses. We don’t have the pitching. You’re the pitching coach. We don’t have the hitters. You retained the recruiter. We are looking at too many third strikes. You haven’t stepped in and changed the 2 strike hitting approach. Those are still excuses and lip service imo.
A poster said it best . Les miles is Robe. Stupidly holding on to his coaches and system when the whole thing needs a re do. Lotaltiy works to a point.
