Lots has been said about Marlin and Broadhead getting raises/extensions. Hunter had already gotten one, was expecting a second. It's a tricky business, beyond my pay grade.
Hey, at least Hunter had 3 NCAA appearances in the last 5 years and a sweet 16 to claim for his extension.

As big a critic as I am of Marlin and his refusal to bring decent teams in to play us, if he had had the level of success that Hunter had in conference and post season, I would not be calling for his firing.

That said, even with Hunter gone, Marlin is still an average coach and a below average judge of talent, especially as regards the translation of HS results to the upper mid-major level of competition. I dont expect results much different than he has had in the past.

You’re confusing tournament championships with 4th place finishes.

Well, the bar is zero conference tournament or regular season championships.

Well he’s actually got one of each, just not in the same season.

I’d like to add to the list of excuses for this year. Corey Davis jr. does not play for us

He will be stepping up in competition and will be touger to recruit academically. The kind of basketball that he plays will not do well against teams like Houston, Cindy, Memphis and UConn. Personally, I hate that type of basketball and it is ruining the sport. Look at GA State and Buffalo. They got manhandled by superior competition that played defense and had a passing game vs isolation 3 point shooting. He would do better upgrading to a public university over a private school like Tulane. It will be a career mistake, IMO.
