See, I can respond like a teenage girl just like you!!!
Missed the point, your post is great. It's an arms race. In ten years, Marlin will be gone and half a million will be the starting rate.

Looks like we are already half a million short. We finally figured it out. If we got twice the coach, we would be dancing often.

Never happen. Now that Hunter doesnt have to play us, he will be afraid to play a Bigfish coached team. After all, we are the standard which all other mid majors fear.

Besides, he is scared of our gym.

GAST was over a barrel. Hunter was mad in October he wasn't offered an extension. Think the first glance he got from another program, he was gone. It just happened to be Tulane. Private university with deep pockets. Tulane could be the next Liberty, Wofford, Gonzaga, Butler, etc. Odds are, they won’t.

Lots has been said about Marlin and Broadhead getting raises/extensions. Hunter had already gotten one, was expecting a second. It's a tricky business, beyond my pay grade.

Hey, at least Hunter had 3 NCAA appearances in the last 5 years and a sweet 16 to claim for his extension.

As big a critic as I am of Marlin and his refusal to bring decent teams in to play us, if he had had the level of success that Hunter had in conference and post season, I would not be calling for his firing.

That said, even with Hunter gone, Marlin is still an average coach and a below average judge of talent, especially as regards the translation of HS results to the upper mid-major level of competition. I dont expect results much different than he has had in the past.
