This is false. Let’s at least use accurate facts. This is not CNN.

So did Kasuls and Dupuy. Kasuls started at SS for us many games his freshman and sophomore year. Not hating on Loch but he made a lot of errors at an easier position this season.

A lot of guys come here as SS and don’t play SS for us.

I don’t have the numbers for any specific date I will admit. Do you?

Loch made too many errors at 3B which is why Windham went back in. That is true.

At the time this conversation was going on here, lockridge had 4 errors and was batting 225 with the most doubles on the team. Cantrelle had 6 errors and was batting 125.

Windham, went in because lockridge had the flu and earned back the position with an immediate hot bat to go with his gold glove. That is true.

I’m sure the little man is about to show up and drop a little 💩💩💩 on the board.

By the way, Cantrelle has since more than earned back the right to be perched up on the thrown.

That is true, but i disagree that playing third is easier than SS. I'd put it second as the hardest position after playing catcher. Position players only, not including pitching

I stand corrected on amount of errors. How many games played at the time if you have that? And at how many games in with the stats you are referencing?

Even if it is the same amount of games played with those error counts, I still say Loch was not an option to replace Cantrelle at that time. Especially defensively. Kasuls would have made more sense if anyone.

And I don't remember Loch being sick.

I guess it’s relative to the player’s strengths and weaknesses.

They were locked at 4 on errors. Lock got sick and windham came in and hit so lock sat. Cantrelle made 2 more errors. Cantrelle went 1 for 16 Maryland through McNeese.

That was when some talk came on here about Lock at SS.

Roug, I’m just giving facts with timing.

I have no beef with you or almost anyone else, but we need to use THE facts if we are going to banter back and forth.

I think the position was a viable position based on the facts when it was made.

With what Cantrelle has done since then and especially the last two weeks, he is now unequivocally our only option at SS or any other position we may need him.

I call BS Joe. Jacob81 posted he wasn't sure there was a better SS on this team.

You replied "I'm not sure about that."

He later asked who? You replied, "I don't believe he has been given a chance at the position. Been riding the pine for the last couple of weeks."

So Cantrelle hit the ball as a true freshman in a collegiate league. He ended up being one of the Top freshmen in the SBC last season. He has struggled early with the bat, but Lockeridge is better? Sorry, the reason he is on the bench is because he hasn't earned the opportunity to play over Cantrelle based upon what he did last season. He couldn't play better defense than Windham or hit better then him either early on. Now he will get another chance with Windham out.
