Sorry, but Conrad was shown the door at STM when he was a freshman. Cantrelle by no means is a bad kid, never had a problem with coaches or teachers at Tuerlings. You don't get voted a team captain on Robichaux's teams unless you do what your are suppose to do daily.

The way he carries himself is why he was voted a team captain this year by the juniors and seniors. Yes, he has some edge to him but no different than Conrad had in my opinion.

I wouldn't say he plays with an edge. More with a sense of flare. Just don't care for it. Conrad, on the other hand, huge fan.

Conrad [Jace] never set foot on the STM campus. Never was enrolled. He went to Lafayette High his entire high school career. Brenn did the same.

Sorry, it may have been Grant. I watched Conrad through middle school at Cathedral, he was their featured back. I like the kid, he played with throw down.

So Monica and Breaux have started every game also. Lott has played in every game. Kasuls has started every game he wasn't injured for. Not sure why Cantrelle is getting the brunt of this discussion. I don't agree with ALOT of stuff Robe does, but he can't be THAT wrong about Cantrelle. I mean, he did get a call about getting drafted in the 4th or 5th round, but he told them he wouldn't sign for what they offered (I heard that somewhere, can't confirm 100%, but a good source). I HATE the way Cantrelle plays like he's bigger than the game, but he is more than likely the best option we have at shortstop.

I know his dad personally he didn'tget a call in the 4th or 5th round, thats a fact. He got a call in the 40th round.

I think some people are underestimating the ability of a certain coach to reign in ego and use it as an advantage compared to the current staff. I don’t think the two are much different. And this is no knock on Conrad. More of a positive for Cantrelle.

Again, just for the record, I do not like the way Cantrelle carries himself AT ALL.
