I'm not certain of what anyone in this thread is insinuating, but it sounds personal on some levels.jmo

Conrad [Jace] never set foot on the STM campus. Never was enrolled. He went to Lafayette High his entire high school career. Brenn did the same.

Pretty sure their older brother Grant was the one that went to stm and transferred to lhs.

Sorry, it may have been Grant. I watched Conrad through middle school at Cathedral, he was their featured back. I like the kid, he played with throw down.

Conrad played with throw down, but Cantrelle is a tough kid as well.

I mean, he did get a call about getting drafted in the 4th or 5th round, but he told them he wouldn't sign for what they offered (I heard that somewhere, can't confirm 100%, but a good source). I HATE the way Cantrelle plays like he's bigger than the game, but he is more than likely the best option we have at shortstop.
I know his dad personally he didn'tget a call in the 4th or 5th round, thats a fact. He got a call in the 40th round.

I think some people are underestimating the ability of a certain coach to reign in ego and use it as an advantage compared to the current staff. I don’t think the two are much different. And this is no knock on Conrad. More of a positive for Cantrelle.
