They say Time heals. I guess UL has a short Memory. It has never healed how she treated our university while she was at LSU. Again F her. I'll never forget. Geaux Cajuns!
Turb the disrespect lasted long after baseball resumed playing. Maybe there were actions on both sides but what we are saying is how can you name a freeking field after someone who tried to ruin your program then has disrespectfed you for years. A reconciliation of sorts could be made but not a freeking honor of this magnitude

I for one am very happy and proud that the field is now Yvette Girouard Field! Yeah, years ago she left for the school to the east(LSWHO), and allegedly took the ticket rolls of backers, but she still started something WE would have never had way back when there was only a hurricane fence backstop! Congrats, Yvette, help us continue to build this program of OURS!
Respect to her. Despite what happened in the past the bottom line is she built a program and put us on the national stage. It will always be 10x more meaningful to build something from the ground up rather than going into coaching somewhere that is already established. She showed what was possible at USL/UL. It has and will continue to bleed into our other sports. Glad there has been reconciliation. What she built here is special and deserves recognition.
Good for her and great for our University.
