YG did what she did for her retirement. Tony came here to be closer to home. Were they easy decisions, no. But anyone of us would have made the same in the private world.
When he came here did he beg McNeese supporters in a letter to follow him to Lafayette? I guess I see it from both sides.

I like it that softball, MBB, and Football all bring back and include former players as part of th culture..

Those of us who are old enough to remember all of that are fading away. There is no doubt that Yvette did great things for the program for many years and deserves to be lauded for that. She did what she thought was best for her retirement and you cannot blame her for that. Her departure was kind of rocky but considering who the boss was then (Dr. Fossil) I guess I can understand her being a little bitter. She has now moved on and so has UL, so her recognition is fully appropriate. Thanks Yvette for starting and developing something that has brought many good vibes to UL.

Congrats girls. Y’all are the best under the best coach we have ever had
She treated us like crap when she was in BR. Even last night as the color commentator on the broadcast, did not call us Louisiana once.

I’m waiting to hear “I appreciate this honor from Ull at Lafayette. Read Team gave me my start that ultimately led to my dream job “

    Nope I’m not on board
    Agree totally. Not for me.

Wish we had Dave Shultz to ask her why she can't bring herself to say LOUISIANA. He's the only guy who would.

She could have handled it better but whatever

She tried to steal our fans and effectively ruin our program. That’s a big whatever

She refused to allow 2 top 10 programs 45 miles apart. That’s a big whatever

She refused to Even acknowledge our existence “the red team “

    I m sure I can’t convince you but whatever

Ok I’ll accept some bad action on all sides. But to name a field after someone who tried to ruin the program and to this day won’t accept us by the name we choose just boggles my mind. Have a reconciliation day but name the damn field after her. Geez. No way
