I have insights on that to!
On Joe Burrow - He really showed his a_____$ last time he played, but like the true professional he is, he stopped going to class, really buckled down and put his nose in the playbook. OC said he has never seen someone so focused. We are witnessing greatness!!!!

Outside of the SBC with Georgia Southern, most other conferences have champions that can throw the football down the field to beat you. Air Force has won one conference Championship in the Mountain West Conference. Navy hasn't won a conference championship in the AAC and Georgia Tech hasn't won one in the ACC since 2009.

I believe Levy Lewis showed that he is capable of throwing the football down the field enough against Coastal Carolina. If that Levy Lewis can play the same way against App. State, we will have a legitimate shot at winning the game if we play them in the conference championship. If the Levy Lewis that played in the first game against App. State shows up, we won't beat them period. Throwing the football down field and showing your offense is capable of doing so when it has to is necessary to win championships today. The game has changed.
Levi was given no time against App State the first time. Not saying that he couldn't have played better but we didn't do nearly enough to put him in a position to succeed and his OL didn't do him any favors that night. The entire team needs to play much sharper to beat those guys the next time.

Yep, people are putting way too much emphasis on how levi palpated in coastal game vs App. The biggest difference in those games are the defenses that we played. Buy Levi some time and he will get the job done. That said, a good QB has to make a few plays even in the face of defensive pressure.

Get him outside the pocket in the next game against App just like he did against Coastal and neutralize their pass rush just a little bit. App is #1 in our conference against the pass and it is obvious by how they controlled us.

Give him plays that develop quickly. We cannot protect agzanst App for deep routes, but the stuff we did against Coastal with slants, etc. In the 8-12 yard window will work vs Ap as well.

I bet our OL wants another chance against App St. They got beat pretty soundly in the first game.

Our shortcomings pre Coastal in the passing game were almost all scheme or play calling related. We were asking Lewis, the OL and the receivers to do things they dont do particularly well. I the Coastal game our offensive philosophy was radically different from earlier games, and in the passing game, it was based almost entirely around things our players can do pretty well.

Player skill did not change, coaching game management changed a LOT. It remains to be seen whether we continue with the Coastal pattern or revert to what we did before.

Or App St has better players and are also well coached. That is why I would like to see the matchup again. Watching both teams this year I think the only position we are better than them is RB, but or OL and DL have played well with the exception of that game. We win the LOS and I think we have a chance to beat them. Scheme cannot overcoming physical mismatches for an entire game.

I understand that completely, I was on the sideline for that game. Clearly there were other concerns across the board, but the offensive line didn't call the plays and they didn't make some of the throws or his lack of decision at times. When I say "the Levy Lewis that played in the Coastal game", I mean his decision making, confidence and the game plan that allowed him to get rid of the football quickly. I understand it's not just simply him throwing the football.

I'm hoping the Cajuns are soon ranked in the top 25 in the 3 or 4 weeks. Keep winning and it is entirely possible. If App. State wins out, and the Cajuns do too, that Champ game between two ranked teams would be a great matchup!
