What stood out to me about Levi's passing was how he WASN'T dropping back in the pocket. He would take the snap and stand there like a tree while laser focused on his primary target. He was either doing that or dumping to the outside. That was why he throwing darts most of the night. His movement and reading were kept to a minimum.
It was a great gameplan executed to perfection.
News alert, Levi is pretty darn good and will be back for a senior season next year.
Another news alert, he runs our offense pretty darn good.
Another news alert, we are 7-2 and will be 8-2 after next week and Levi is a very big part of the reason why.
A couple of other news alerts, the following young players are pretty special:
Neal Johnson Jr. Might be the best TE we have had since a guy named Ladarius Green.
Peter Leblanc is going to be good for a while. He is special.
O'Cyrus Torrence will start allot of games for UL on the OL in the future.
Lorenzo Mccaskall is only a Sophomore and if he can stay on the field he is really good.
Zi'yon Hill gets better and better each week, PS only a Sophomore
Kris Moncrief is Really Good, again a Sophomore
Percy Butler might be our best back end player (and PS he is a Sophomore)
Jalen Williams is starting to show how good he can be (still has another year next year)
Eric Garror is pretty good, oh yeah, just a Sophomore
Chris Smith will be a 1000 yard back at some point (Freshman)
Kam Pedescleaux is going to be a pretty good player (Freshman)
Jordan Quibodeaux is going to be a solid player for us in the future (just a Sophomore)
Kenneth Almendares can kick it through the end zone about a minimum of 50% of the time, he is a freshman.
Rhys Byrns will be an all conference punter by the end of his career, he is a Sophomore
Shane Vallot is a solid center and he was a walkon, he is currently a Sophomore
Max Mitchell might end up being the best OL on the team by his senior year (he is a Sophomore)
Dalvin Hutchinson is good (Freshman)
Ja'Quane Nelson is really good (Sophomore)
I probably missed a ton of young players, but man this is exciting.
Almost all now realize he is our best option and good enough. Like I told you last week, I was worried he had plateaued and the last 4 games was what he is. I was wrong. Last night he showed he is still progressing. Can't wait to see what he can do this year and next.
