So what qualities in Lewis do you see that you think make the coaching staff believe he should be the only QB to play at this time. I highly suspect that is one of them on the top of the chart.

I don’t know for a fact that other QB’s would have been sacked often. I have talked to people however who have been to practice and that is their belief. Also, the backup is coming off a knee injury and the other two are pure freshman. Hawkins is so far behind he did not make the trip.

Absolutely, and I stand by that statement. This is based on the fact that MSU played poorly, we couldn't throw down field, where as there are many G5 teams that could have capitalized on that poor play and made them pay.

Everybody on this board feels that way, however, it is obvious that at this time the coaching staff believes that playing any of the other QB's on staff at all give us less chance to get a W.

Well, sure that's what they believe are they wouldn't be doing it.

Well, sure that's what they believe are they wouldn't be doing it.

Not necessarily the right thing though. Just my opinion, of course. We have had many coaches do the wrong thing, so who's to say they aren't? I don't want to get wrapped so much around the axle on what could be if, I would like to be able to see it myself. It bothers a lot of people for some reason if you don't tote the line of the coaches. I like many aspects of what they are doing, but this is the most important, and I'm not really liking what's going on with that position, and I'm going to keep saying it, sorry if it bothers some.

Let's just say, if they did their job in recruiting, and they brought in QB's that they think can perform, then let's get them experience. Levi does what Levi has been doing, I saw nothing different yesterday than last year. Good guy I'm sure, but we need more at the QB position.

True but did you see Levi get out of some of those sticky situations?

I did. He did well on some of those for sure.

Because players have talent doesn't mean they are ready to step in and help us win. B) Levi played last year because the staff felt he could add something to the game to help us put points on the board and they were right. I'm not in favor of playing guys in meaningful moments of the game for which they may not be ready for. Doesn't mean they can't be the guy next year but they may not currently be ready. In other words, playing them in a close game may hurt us more than help us.

Yes there is plenty of doubt. I don't see that he has that much room for improvement. His play yesterday was much the same as it was last year to me...I hope I'm wrong...but...four turnovers by the QB is not good

He's at fault for 2, the forward pass was dropped and wasn't too low like I thought from the stands and the drop behind the line was the fault of the running back running in to his arm. I'm may be wrong, but I know only blame him for 2.
