Looks to be more about pitching and defense this year, just saying...

It tells me exactly why we have a losing record. A whole lot of walks and runs given up

Our hitting numbers are just as much to blame for the record as pitching and defense. Just because it’s better than the past couple of years doesn’t mean it’s good.

Right. Look at the games where the floodgates opened and we lost or nearly lost a good lead. Sunday game vs. Texas, the Sam Houston double header, last night. Our front line armed have been fine. Good, actually. The relievers unable to throw strikes are what cost us big time. Our opponents haven’t been hitting the cover off of the ball. They are getting hits after we issue free passes. Or they’re getting walked. Pick your poison.

The offensive numbers are refreshing to see. It certainly doesn’t feel like we’re hitting above .200.

My conclusion is last year's first 12 games were against teams that were MUCH better than this year's first 12 teams faced.

While it wouldn't be fair to exclude last night completely, it would be nice to see what impact last night's game had on the numbers. Convenient that this anonymous poster chose to make that comparison after a game that produced more offensive numbers than the prior 5 games combined.

He’s not anonymous, just refuses to acknowledge he’s the same person who quit in a huff. Does him getting a new ID make him anonymous.

He doesn't like pitchers with a high leg kick.
