For the record, I’m happy with how the team is performing as a whole(pitching woes not withstanding) I just wonder whether Robe has any clue that the continued “Best Arm” comments drive his fanbase crazy??
Well, I can assure you that ULM does not have a guy on their roster that's any better than any Texas arm we faced this year. I don't think he's better than Gattis either.

He has to cover for his team. I get it. He's got a list of "reasons". I'm sure he hates it.

My understanding is that the guy was a pre-season All-American that hasn't lived up to his potential. Robe may have been referring to his "stuff" but I'm just speculating as a counterpoint. At least that's what I thought I heard someone say on the broadcast.

Gaddis may in fact be the best pitcher we’ve faced this year. He’s been a hard luck pitcher losing games he shouldn’t have. I’d love him in a Cajun uniform this year. He’d be the Friday pitcher I’m almost certain.

Sometimes saying the truth seems to be excuses.

Correct. Maybe “best arm” is an exaggeration but as Bum Phillips once said

He may not be in a class by himself but it don’t take long to call the roll

Gaddis' ERA this year may not tell the story, but that guy is a premier arm, especially in this conference. Although, I would not say he is better than Elder, the Texas Friday night starter.

If I’m not mistaken right now we are scheduled to play a “play-in” game. 7 plays 9 and 8 plays 10. We need to be a 6 seed so we don’t have to burn a good arm for a play in game. Am I correct in my assumption?

I am not sure but usually in most competition, 7 & 10 are paired up and 8&9 as well.

7-10 are essentially play in games, on tuesday. Double elimination starts Wednesday.

Here is the schedule, yes 7-10 are single elim play in games. We really need to get to #6 or higher.

What’s the highest we could finish? Anyone figure that out yet?

Haven't looked at it personally, but Foote said today that we could get to 6th. Obviously assuming a sweep and some help

Per Foote's article, all this needs to happen:

    *Sweep of ULM
*South Alabama (15-12) winning at least two of three at Troy (14-13) He doesnt mention it, but if Troy sweeps South Alabama, that also should work (put us on top of USA instead of Troy)
*Appalachian State (12-14) winning at least two of three at Coastal Carolina (13-12).
