Seriously ?? That has zero to do with what I’m talking about. I’m talking about taking a player that you signed and get on campus and make that player better than what he was when he got here. I won’t start calling out kids but there is a long list going back the last 3-4 years.

This is such a small subset (players drafted both out of high school and again out of college) that it would not be very indicative, one way or the other, of the state of development of players by this staff.

It’s a shared responsibility my friend. Do what you want with that thought. You can take that one in all kinds of different directions.

Actually, I'd say you got a new stadium because the Russo family thought so much of Tony that they ponied up the initial funding to get the process started. Without that, you're still looking at a wish list and a preliminary drawing of stadium possibilities.

Mid major college athletics tend to be cyclical. College baseball tends to be volatile with lots of movement up and down the RPI list, excepting the perennial top 10.

I think we were 12 years between Super Regionals. It seems we are bottoming out somewhere near here.

I was going to say bottoms are not pretty, but it all depends on the bottom.

Certainly has been dissappointing start to the season. One thing to keep in mind though moving forward is that only one game was decided by more than two runs. It won't take a huge change to turn this around. Slight changes in all three aspects of the game could make a big swing in the win/lose column.

Your first paragraph is spot on. It is so difficult to stay on top when you are not a premier program. Look at Bama. Seriously bad spell of baseball the past couple of years.
We will play better when we get better players. Selling UL is a lot harder job than most people realize and takes a lot more work to find impact players not committed to SEC and Big 12 schools.

    And it starts tomorrow!
Get on a streak and get above 500 after this weekend!

Baseball season is a marathon, not a sprint. Where have I heard that?
If you consider 10 games a fair sample size(I would rather see 15-20 games) our record is worse than most people expected. The errors, poor bunting , and atrocious bullpen are the reasons.
But having seen the last 2 games, I saw much improvement, and I hope along with all of you that is a sign of trending up. We shall see.

We are not getting blown out. I do worry about pitching cracking from the pressure at some point. We lost Friday without giving an earned run. If pitching holds up a winning season is possible.

I mentioned this after the APC was built, i think coaches need to be careful in recruiting when you get nice new shiny facilities. If you let the facilities do your recruiting you can get the wrong type of guys. You can end up with guys who are here for the wrong reasons.

Well I thought Robe would run out of gas immediately after his sons left the program.

He sure has proved me wrong.

It doesn't matter what he found to keep motivated, he did.
