I’d imagine their is a lack of D1 talent offensively or unperforming talent

Well, 6 of our 7 losses were to a team coming off a World Series appearance and who just swept # 2 in the country, a team that threw their Friday, Saturday and Sunday starters on a Wednesday and a team that just took one from TCU and one from Nebraska this weekend.

Silver lining, things should be better going forward.

    At one point, we had:

    Norte Dame in LF
    STM in CF
    STM in RF
    STM at 3rd
    Teurlings at SS

and I was thinking did we REALLY need to shuffle positions and titles so badly to keep Talbot to pull these guys from a 20 mile radius?

Kind of like all those AAC basketball teams that lose to Duke. They get passes because they’re losing to Duke and get into the postseason. Ain’t going to matter in May.

There are several ways to look at what’s happen so far. No doubt the Texas program is rising back to being a national championship contender. Tech has an older club that is making some noise. Sam Houston has played a hell of a schedule thus far. Maryland is coming off a post season run last year. So we have not played any pushovers. One weekend it’s a lack of clutch hitting. One weekend it’s a lack of pitching. At some points of the weekend it’s sloppy defense. It’s definately been inconsistent in all phases of the game at some point or another. It was definately a grind this weekend to squeak out a few wins. Hopefully, with today off we can realign some pitching for a 5 game week

That Texas team we went toe to toe with and COULD of swept....just swept the number 1 team in the country.

And Sam Houston has beaten #14 TCU and Nebraska, and Miss State beat them in a walk-off 5-4 in the Frisco Tournament. These are not bad teams, we just aren't good enough to beat those teams.

I hear what y’all are saying but LSU is not the best team in the country. I don’t think they’re top 10 honestly.

That may be, but that doesn't change the fact that I think Texas will be in the Top 10. They have one of the best collection of young arms I've seen in recent years.

T, are you referring to those backline arms they threw against the Cajuns?

My opinion of Texas’ ball club was and remains very high. Just saying, LSU had no business being ranked so high.
