That did slow him. I have seen a lot of high school ball over the years. The position players and line up reminds me of a high school team, a good one, but that level.

No NIT, not going to win however many in March, and no buy in tournaments. This season down to about 4 games mercifully

Hitting regressed to early 2018 levels batting .160 this weekend. Defense is well below any Cajun team in recent memory. Pitching saw some growth this weekend and will need to man up immediately to see .500 at the end.

I have no faith in the offense, the defense, or baserunning. Sad bcuz most these guys are upperclassmen Hopefully that is restored this year.

So are the continued hitting woes due to coaching, recruiting or both? This is going on 3 years of poor plate performance

Well, 6 of our 7 losses were to a team coming off a World Series appearance and who just swept # 2 in the country, a team that threw their Friday, Saturday and Sunday starters on a Wednesday and a team that just took one from TCU and one from Nebraska this weekend.

Silver lining, things should be better going forward.

and I was thinking did we REALLY need to shuffle positions and titles so badly to keep Talbot to pull these guys from a 20 mile radius?

Kind of like all those AAC basketball teams that lose to Duke. They get passes because they’re losing to Duke and get into the postseason. Ain’t going to matter in May.
