For the second straight season, Louisiana Men's Tennis has joined the national rankings, coming in at No. 66, in the latest Oracle/ITA Collegiate Men's Tennis Division I National Team Rankings which were released on Tuesday, Feb. 27.

This is huge. Still a lot of tennis to be played at this point it looks like Georgia State and USA will be our competition in the conference. Troy would have been up there but they took their first loss to us 4-1 over this weekend.
GSU is ranked 49th and is 4-4 overall
USA is 7-2 overall
UL is 14-3 and is 66th overall
Troy is 10-1
This should be the top 4 teams come conference time. This is the first season ever that the SBC is playing each other so standings will be based on record not on national rankings.
The win over Troy will not count in the standings due to the fact that it was a tournament match not a conference one.
Geaux Cajuns
Up next is East Tennessee State (this will be a tough matchup) and if we want to move up in the rankings a must win. Then we have two matches vs Xavier (NO) which should be easy and then Rice before conference play. For our standings to improve Nationally the Rice and ETSU matchups are huge.
So keep an eye on the results the next couple of weeks.
