I agree as I stated it earlier and he deserves much criticism for that reason alone. Bottom line is that we need a lot of talent and we will have scholarships available for not only bigs but a kid like Cook. My main point in initially mentioning him is exactly this. He will be one of the top players in the state and I have no idea if we are even considering recruiting him. I didn't see one cajun coach at the Sunkist when we had Walker, Riverside, Sophie B Wright etc.. playing in Lafayette.
Rebounders Meetings are over for the year so I don't know if I will see any coaches anytime soon. If I happen to run into any I will try to remember to ask your question. As Express said, they may not be able to answer directly about the guy in question. I could ask if they are looking at any guards for 2020 from the New Orleans area. I do know they had a 2020 guard from North Louisiana in for a visit for the ULM game. Not sure of the details but I was told some SEC schools are looking at this North Louisiana guy.
Josten Crow is a relatively young coach in his third year on staff. Played for Coach Marlin at Sam Houston and was a grad assistant here after that. Josten also played successfully in Europe for a few seasons before coming back here. Josten was the lead guy during the game Coach Marlin missed due to his wife's illness. I would think he would relate OK to today's youngsters. Note our main guy in getting both Kobe Julien and Mylik Wilson was veteran assistant Kevin Johnson.
