This may be the biggest one for me. Gunner Wyatt and hogan (and probably others I’m forgetting) were wasted in my opinion. This is no knock on them. They are great pitchers but all will/have miss out on big money because had we had a pulse at the plate, they would have had a national stage to showcase on.
My fault in replying to your post. I understand where you’re coming from and my post wasn’t meant to be directed at you but rather the numerous haters that seem to get off on the negativity.
None of us are happy with the recent baseball results. Every coach should be questioned on their decisions, but lets keep everything in perspective. Yes, Robe is a victim of his own success. He has raised the standard. Winning seasons record wise are no longer a success unless it leads to regional wins and conference championships; that is a product of our current coach.
Has the game passed him by? I think anyone that says that is clueless.
Here’s a great interview with Coach Robichaux prior to the Texas series where he discusses the evolution of the game (analytics, etc), building the program and also the current state of our team and what it takes to be successful with an inexperienced pitching staff. Worth a listen in my opinion.

If someone can post a proper link please go ahead, obviously the internet has passed me by.
Scouts find baseball talent. They find it in the hinterlands, big cities, foreign shores. If you’re good enough you’ll get rewarded.
You guys need to get on the same page. We are supposed to go on how veillon threw in scrimmages to justify him coming in but we have to use real games to figure out whether our guys have what it takes to pitch. Which is it?
