I saw lots of shrugs last year @ManAboutTown. I suspect the shrugging has returned.

Last year was different. Everything was good but offense. So, he coached around it. I thought he was masterful.

This year everything sux. Can't coach around everything.

And the amazing part of it all is, I see a better team on the field. I don’t even think it’s close.

So far in this season when pitching is good, hitting isn't. When hitting well, the bullpen has been terrible. As I see it we need to find a late inning relief man and closer. Give it time. It's only six games

So do I. Heads and shoulders more talented. Played a good Texas team close. The clown show yesterday tells me something is very wrong, tho.

This may be a team of great volatility. Win by 10 one day. Lose by 12 the next.

Come on CajunRage, here you go again. I don't see many giving Coach Rob a pass in this thread and for the same reason Coach Marlin isn't getting it right now, it's their recruits and pretty much the same staff.

Yes, I'm still waiting to hear how Marlin has the deck stacked against him......

Guys don't forget Robe has a track record. Never missed a regional three years in a row.

We have to win the tournament to make a regional same as basketball If Robe can't do it well he needs to feel the heat same as Marlin.

I definitely see some decisions I can't understand, though.
That is the most frustrating thing about this early start. I went back and looked at the hitting stats through the first six games and it's clearly improved over last season's first six games. The pitching is close to the same in ERA, but the one glaring decline is the defense. I just don't understand why Cantrelle has declined on defense, we should be better in the outfield and we haven't been.

The hitting numbers give me hope right now and the bullpen will thin out come conference play. The defense is my major concern now, but I still have some confidence it will improve. There is plenty to be concerned about, but we are only six games into the season and I'm not ready to pack it in yet.

You were waiting because I was at church. The equivalent of 27-7 and 16-2 in baseball gets an at large bid out of the sunbelt. Not the same in basketball.

I don't see it right now, both still have enough support from the administration to at least get another year for certain.
