Not picking on you, alum, but this conversation regarding the radio broadcast happens each year. Let’s just enjoy it, ya’ll.
    Someone say PooPoo Broussard?

Seems Kent State is a little bent Cajuns only used two pinch hitters. Game 2 recap.

To paraphrase one of my favorite coaches (Spurrier): It ain't my job to stop my team.

Ridiculous. One of the pinch hitters is a fifth-year senior who never hit before. The only reason Glasco put her in was so the game would end. She almost got a hit. I'm talking about Alison DeVille. Plus, Glasco held up a runner at second and third that would have scored two more. What the guy wrote is fake news.

well, what he wrote was factually correct. by the way its worded, i assume the writer thought we should have pinch hit more. nothing ridiculous about what he wrote. it could seem like piling on to a overwhelmed opponent. im good with how the game played out, the game itself was already shortened.

The history of diamond sports broadcast announcing demands unique phrases for home runs.

Stevie P's is as good as you will find.

I agree...all the way around it's a big nothing burger.

Just seemed childish at this level. Kent pitchers served up batting practice balls in the 4th and 5th innings or they quit competing. Cajuns didn't.

I think that was the first time I have seen Glasco stop stealing and hold up runners that could have easily scored.

Also with another game coming up it would not have been good to let it go 7 just to be polite.

With that being said if I were a substitute on the Cajun bench I would have been pining to get in there.

Actually, can we make this happen next time Bobby, Ian or Steve have prior engagements? How about the alum game next season.

I don’t know how many players we had left on the bench to PH. We had already used 3 players to pinch run. They were not available to hit. Plus road games have a limited travel roster. That’s why Deville was used in that situation plus she’s a good hitter we may be able to use in a pinch.

Apparently the game started. Mean green with bases loaded and no outs in the top of the 1st.
