Yeah. The weekend was bad. Not the whole season. You lost to a team that can do no better than 2-3 against the tournament field. Then you lose today in what is somehow a consolation game. Effectively you finished last in the tournament.

I’d safely say it was a bad weekend for a team that is top ranked 10 in the nation.

2 straight games of sub par performance at the plate against teams that you should beat. It’s 2 games. I get it. But 2 games that you may look back on when you are traveling for a regional.

It works the same way as the #4 seed playing the #6 seed in the basketball tournament championship.

Round robin(everyone plays everyone) then you seed 1-4 and and play semis and finals. We lost in the semis as the 1 seed to the 4 seed. Pretty simple to figure out.

If someone has trouble figuring it out, then I kind of need to question what they know about the sport in general. Hell, we did the exact same thing last weekend for the Louisiana Classics.

We did not do it exactly the same. We did 1 vs 3 and 2 vs 4 in the semis.

Regardless, it’s the same concept. We probably did it that to way to avoid playing the 4 in a semifinal game (RPI reasons).
