This weekend has to rank amongst most depressing. The softball team will regroup, I dont know what the baseball will do, and mens basketball will be what they are. Man oh man

Yeah. The weekend was bad. Not the whole season. You lost to a team that can do no better than 2-3 against the tournament field. Then you lose today in what is somehow a consolation game. Effectively you finished last in the tournament.

I’d safely say it was a bad weekend for a team that is top ranked 10 in the nation.

2 straight games of sub par performance at the plate against teams that you should beat. It’s 2 games. I get it. But 2 games that you may look back on when you are traveling for a regional.

Getting down early was the story behind the last 3 games. 0-2, 0-2, and 0-2. You went 1-2 in those games. We were able to hit our way back yesterday morning, but lord knows what happened to the potent offense after that. Losing 2 games with Summer in the circle is also a concern. She wasn’t bad, but she wasn’t her normal, dominant self.

Flush it an move in. It gets harder next week, so hopefully this is a wake up call.
