    LOL. That is insane.

That is what this discussion is about.
I was just taken aback with how many pages we've spent talking about a mid week baseball game in general, much less the 4th game of the season.

Don't like the sport. Period. I went to a Cubs game a couple years ago. It was fun to see the atmosphere and experience it but I couldn't do that 80+ times a season. I could go for a 4-5 inning stretch but that's about it.

    Low blow, man, low blow.

    Carry on.

I see some positive things going on but it has been long enough for the bounce back to happen. Time to see some results.
I totally agree with your assertion that we need to reverse a downward trend of the baseball program, but losing to Tech is a major reason this thread is over 20 pages long. Most of us absolutely hate losing to Tech in anything. Can you honestly name a single team that you hate to lose to more than Tech? I can not. Not Tulane. Not ULM. Not even LSU.

Still not the point. It was an issue Wednesday because it’s tech. It’s an issue now because we lost the series and possibly are getting swept by a south land team. It will be an issue if we lose the game to southeastern Tuesday or the series to Maryland next weekend. Are we going to wait til April to win our first series of the year again?

Extra bases usually requires one to hustle out of the box

I’m trying to take Neck out of the equation and look at it from a numbers perspective. One of our goals is to win the conference, the tourney and make the NCAA. Great. But we dropped 3 games against good teams that could help you still get in if we stub our toe in conference play or the tourney. It seems like the last 2 seasons we’ve looked back on “man, if we’d only closed out this game or that game then we’d be an at large.” Those same type games are mounting up early.

Several opportunities this year, but don’t let these “well, its one game” mount up. Those one become many of you keep adding them up. Then you’re on the outside looking in saying “woulda, coulda, shoulda.”
It was the SPs turn in the rotation. He started the 1st and 4th game of the season. Considering that conference play hasn't started what does weekend starter have to do with it?

Murphy's Bleachers or the Cubby Bear are fun before and after the game at Wrigley

This isn't MLB. It's wasn't his turn in the rotation.
