Concessions have been a struggle this first weekend. They're still shaking off the rust as well. Hope it'll be sorted out soon.

I don’t think anyone is overreacting...just carrying over the basketball standards, we need to base expectations against our peers...ULM had 0 problems scoring against a team much better than UT...south al won on the road against a ranked opponent...Coastal is being coastal...But you are correct, there is plenty of time to get on track
Absolutely. Offense brutalized Henley yesterday. He will end up being a very good picture for Texas. UT staff made an adjustment with their approach against our hitters and it proved to be effective. Defense cost us the game yesterday anyway, specifically one play that turned a 1 run inning into a 5 run inning.
Judging a baseball team after 2 games is like judging a good sauce picante after you season the meat. We know nothing about this club so far, but the talent level is obviously higher. We had real opportunities to win both games.
Also, I know Young kinda lost his head. But his mentality on the mound was impressive. Not scared to challenge hitters obviously. Once he learns how to waste pitches and locate his change up, he’ll be filthy.
Yes, there’s some concerns here. But one opinion I have from yesterday...last year’s team might have not responded after being down 5-0. This one did. Against a Top 20 team (probably Top 15) who got a chance to work the nerves and kinks out a couple weekends ago in their alumni game vs some pro players.
I believe there is something different. They’ve just got to figure out how to keep that fight in the last inning.
All of this looks too familiar.
My biggest issue yesterday was the caught stealing in the 8th inning.
Down 2, get the leadoff man on, and hit and run?? Play makes zero sense there and that's not to mention the fact that Breaux missed it, the runner is out and then Breaux looks at strike 3.
Calling for a hit and run there, or even if it was a straight steal and looked like a botched hit and run, that's just not good baseball.
....Well they had a pretty good idea when we subbed our speed guy that we might try a steal to stay away from the DP....possibly could have waited another pitch.....we wanted our guy at 2nd with zip outs and not bases empty with 2 outs....didn’t see it but was he out by a lot, did he get a good jump, was it a breaking ball?
