When I was a Freshman during the 1998 season, Coach Robe called me down from the press box during a game and told me that he wanted an atmosphere. He told me to listen at how quiet it was in the stadium and how we needed to find a way to get people excited about the game.

So the next game I started with upgrading the music. And then throwing in funny (and annoying) sound effects I downloaded from random internet sites. And giving players the chance to have walk up music. And knowing when to blast music to keep the momentum on our side. It’s grown into what the “Tigue” is today.

It has been a fun ride. I grew up at that ballpark, beginning with serving as batboy for my brother’s American Legion team back in 1990. It wasn’t an easy decision but I’ll always be tuned in from wherever I am and will forever be a Cajun.
    Awesome Gravy.

Thanks for bringing it all these years.

So, you are saying he has the perfect radio face.

I am probably in the minority on this one, but I would love to hear him for one game at the Tigue.

Maybe, but he’s perfect for softball at Lamson. I’m pretty sure it’s not gonna transfer to the Tigue well at all. Different customs don’t always blend well.

He pretty much said early in the interview that Lott would be DH.
