Instead of focusing on his faults, we need to enjoy what be brings to the team. He is a vocal leader on a team that is lacking vocal leadership. Gant and Stoman are great players but they are not vocal leaders--they are very quiet by nature.

One of my favorite presidential speeches is "The Man in the Arena" by Theodore Roosevelt. Justin is the man in the arena.
THANKS, THANKS, THANKS and more THANKS

Absolutely. It made a big difference. I hope this game was the spark they needed to start coming again. I know they all had a great time. I know not everyone loves rap music, but the in house DJ did wonders for the atmosphere.

Damn good post. Justin is not a perfect player, but he deserves our respect.

As usual, all the people with toxic negativity decided to “support” their team the only way they know how: by staying home and complaining about them on the Internet.

The rest of us had a really fun night watching our team win. The crowd was into the game, the halftime show was worth the price of admission on its own, and the team played its butt off and won a big game against our biggest rival. Good times.
I'm just glad you decided to visit after the victory to spout off to everybody about how miserable they all are. Curious where you were doing our recent streak?

On the Ragin Cajuns website, MBB page, schedule--prior to each game, a PDF titled game notes is inserted. Click on the "game notes" pdf for the G State game. Page 7 has the up to date career leader stats--At the bottom of the scoring section, prior to last nights game, Justin had 805 points. You can see how that compares to everyone over 1K--You can also do the same thing for rebounds. Justin had 450 career rebounds prior to last night.

I know that all too well.

But, I wouldn’t go too far with the “I told you so” mindset quite yet. This team is still 5-6 in the Sun Belt and came off of three straight losses by ~20 points. So, I’ll hold off my opinions until the next three games to guage where we are at as a team.

Last night was fun and enjoyable, but it’s only one game; and we still have a ways to go.

Was speaking more about here in this glass case of emotion. We didn't see much Marlin defense.

What most of the " I'll stay home and show em" crowd doesn't get is all that does is hurt the players and overall atmosphere. Marlin has his money and extension. Nothing this year is changing that. If we get a large, active crowd for every game, the players feed off of that energy and everyone wins. Same goes for football. A full arena makes the experience better for everyone.

Having said that, if he stops pressing so much on offense to get his shots off every time he touches the ball and works hard on the glass, he will definitely help us in games.
In recent games Justin has focused on passing the ball more and less on shooting it. If he continues to do that and concentrates on rebounding, he can be a more effective player for us. Against Georgia Southern, he got in foul trouble quickly which limited his impact. Last night was one of his best overall efforts.
