Got to watch most of the 2nd half on TV last night—Thank You to the PLAYERS for gutting out a nice win on National TV vs that POS Ron Hunter!! Crowd looked really into the game, and ESPN2 gave us good coverage, especially the announcers—I heard “Louisiana” so much that all of our other “friends” in the state and conference were probably having emotional breakdowns!! Amazing to watch Gant put forth such effort night after night, and hoping that this game is a sign of things to come from Wesley and Miller!
One game doesn’t make a season, but DAYUM, this one was SA—WEET!!
It was a very fun atmosphere last night.
Those of you fans "boycotting" missed out on a gutsy performance by our boys, and Red Panda who wouldn't give up without nailing her grand finale.
Bring y'all asses to the next game.
Good win for the Cajuns on National TV. Gant was a beast! Hopefully the team can keep it going. Geaux Cajuns!
To clarify, that is not my opinion. Someone stated that Justin Miller was the worst athlete ever to play for UL which is ___king ridiculous. I don’t give a ___ if he plays under the rim or if he makes mistakes. And as maddening as he is to watch play at times, he plays his ___ off every night. Last night was all nuts and guts. Him and Trajan led in the way in that department.
Going back and reading this thread from start to finish is hilarious.
As usual, all the people with toxic negativity decided to “support” their team the only way they know how: by staying home and complaining about them on the Internet.
The rest of us had a really fun night watching our team win. The crowd was into the game, the halftime show was worth the price of admission on its own, and the team played its butt off and won a big game against our biggest rival. Good times.
I agree. While Justin does not have the typical basketball body and skill set, his career numbers will be better than some other "bigs" who were considered good players--Lonnie Thomas was a good post player for the Cajuns--Justin is on pace to have more points and rebounds than Lonnie. Justin is on pace to have more points than Marcus Stokes. He is on pace to have more points and rebounds than Dwayne Mitchell. He is on pace to have more rebounds than Marvin Winkler, Kevin Figaro, Larry Simon, Brett Smith, Michael Southhall, Dan Gay, Wayne Julien, Graylin Warner and Bryan Collins.
Instead of focusing on his faults, we need to enjoy what be brings to the team. He is a vocal leader on a team that is lacking vocal leadership. Gant and Stoman are great players but they are not vocal leaders--they are very quiet by nature.
One of my favorite presidential speeches is "The Man in the Arena" by Theodore Roosevelt. Justin is the man in the arena.
Congratulations to the Cajuns on a great win and i’m sorry I didn’t make the game in person. My five year old grandson had his final “Biddy” Basketball game of the season last night and the way the Cajuns had played in their previous 3 losses I figured I would get more enjoyment watching 5 year old’s roll around and tackle each other on the court! I watched the end of the 1st half and all of 2nd half on TV and am happy the Cajuns proved me to be wrong!
Wow. Thanks for those stats...sure is a surprise to me...the only time he infuriates me is when he tries to play Allen Iversonn at the 3 point line and crossover a defender to drive the lane...that is completely avoidable...everything else he does is 100% effort and appreciated
I must admit that last night’s atmosphere was one of the best in quite awhile. Our guys played their best game of the year and didn’t quit even with that 21-0 run. It was also fun yelling at Hunter to get off the court. I thought that he was going to run into a player since he was so far out.
All in all, great effort by our players to give us a good showing on national tv.
