If year 4 comes around and we still have the same amount of fan support yes it's time to cut bait..

We are in year 9 with Marlin how much support has basketball gained during his tenure.
The point was suggested was that low attendance is a reflection of how the fans feel about the staff. If in 4 years attendance is the same but were winning 10 football games a year would you expect them to fire Napier? My point is our displeasure with a staff shouldn't have a reflection on whether or not we support our athletic teams as far as showing up to a game. Financially is a different story.

Fan support is directly proportional to satisfaction of the product that is the only thing Admin understand. If a plumber does a half ___ job and you tell him you don't like his work but you still keep calling him for jobs he will continue to do half ___ work until you stop calling.

Talk to politicians. They always have some black shine hiding in the closet.

You don't recognize when you've boxed yourself into a corner.

I have to say I'm struggling a bit right now. I got to Lafayette in 1974, attended my first Lagnaippe day (since there wasn't a basketball game I could attend), attended as a student behind the opponents bench until 1979, and have had at least two season tickets since then. Last years team, which had some consistent outside shooters and a solid group of unselfish players who were always looking for the open man and willing to pass, we've struggled to get impact players consistently. Our recruiting has to improve drastically, and we have to become more fundamentally sound. I watch other teams with freshmen & sophomores be more fundamentally sound both offensively and defensively. I'm looking at next year and wondering how we possibly replace Jakeenan Gant, who seems to be the only player who wants to play defense or rebound the basketball, with what I see on either the bench or in our recruits?

I to believe this staff is not doing what it needs to put a quality product on the floor. If your not happy voice your opinions to the president and AD.
Excuse me, I have sat through several years of bad football, basketball and baseball at this University. At some point, you have to make a statement of some kind. I certainly won't criticize anyone willing to keep showing up to see us get our teeth kicked in, but don't for one second call me or anyone else that chooses to sit out a "bandwagon fan". I can assure you, I am not.

Fans not showing up may show displeasure with the staff, but it also hurts the morale of the players and makes us look bad to other recruits.
One of the dumbest statements I've ever seen on this board.

Take a good look folks... This is exhibit A... They don't get it.

Collegiate Athletics is a multi-million dollar business Sir. We have ignored that fact for too dam long and it has caused us to become irrelevant, across the board (maybe sans the diamond sports) for 30 years. Fans that don't show up are voicing their displeasure. And there is nothing wrong with that. At the end of the day, you vote with your wallet in 2019.

How long have you attended the social club?

Have we ever had a coach go from conference champs and one of the best records in a very long time to having everyone wanting his head the very next season? I don’t recall if so.

So when a restaurant fails to provide good service and people quit going what happens? They close down. Would you rather us have an athletic department or close down. I think there are other ways to see voice your opinion then to hurt recruiting and the morale of the kids currently on the roster.

I've seen your post and refuse to get in a ____ing match about it. If you can't answer the question yes or no, your relevance to eat being a stupid question is irrelevant. Because I donate significant amounts annually to RCAF yet only hold 4 tickets to basketball, you think it would hurt them more if I stopped paying my RCAF or if I stopped showing up to basketball games.

I don't know how to respond to this maybe some else knows better isn't baseball and softball considered 2 of the 4 major sports in college athletics? were either irrelevant in all or we a relevant in half.

As I've been saying, I am not happy with what we are putting on the court but by not showing up to the games only hurts the players and future recruiting, I'de rather sport my guys win or losing and cut $10,000 annually off my RCAF donations (which has been made know), then not support my guys when they are not doing so well.
