I at a time dated a young lady from Columbia.....my mom taught Spanish and Latin and loved when I brought the lady to the house....always wondered what they were sharing in Spanish but there were many laughs between them!

There are people who don't drink coffee that loiter at Starbucks for the aroma.

I was deprived of parent/grandparent French discussions since my dad moved from Houma to Abbeville before I was born. He learned English in school.

I have about a 100 word Cajun French vocabulary with zero speaking skills.

My wife understands it well but has very little speaking skills.

She can say things like C’est pa Bon or C’est tout Bon

I can some. Been practicing with a friend at work. It brings back good memories and the more I practice the more it comes back to me.

Then there is the added bonus of being able to talk with no one around knowing what you're saying.
