So you’re not Cajun. My grandma woke me up with a cafe’ au lait at about three years of age.

My grandma Ville Platte Cajun Soileau. Now my mother a victim of English language in school always said coffee milk. So I'm not buying your facts as universal.

I learned my French listening to them speaking to each other and others. They spoke nothing but English to my brother and myself. Being bilingual wasn't viewed as an asset in mid 20th century by many.

I learned English and CAjun French simultaneously growing up. We lived next to my grandparents. It was only French when they were around. If I was going to know what was going on, I was going to be bi-lingual. Not too mAny left to speak French with.

Same here, can’t stand taste or smell of it. I’ve never had a cup either. My wife hates it too. We don’t even have a coffee pot in our house.

A good, thick coffee stout aged in bourbon barrels is nector from the heavens.
