Trust me. If the Cajuns make the NCAA tournament this year, I will be the very first to come in and eat crow. I want this program to flourish in a way to where we are the G5 program of the south. I haven't seen it yet this year.

Apparently, Coastal is the hottest team in the conference right now. I want to say that they have a 5 game win streak. But they're still not 17 points better than us. We need to step up on our defense. Leaving the lane wide open for teams to just drive in for layups will set our fate if we don't fix it soon enough.

Wednesday night against Georgia Southern will tell the tale.

Yes, only a year ago we were the hottest team in the SBC. Still we lost at home to a horrid LilRock. Then back to back Arlington and LSU. Gracious I didn’t understand streaks good and bad are more important than coaching and relative talent.

Think about this for a minute: In the only season that Marlin's Cajuns reached the tournament, the FOUR best players he has recruited here as freshmen [EP, Washington, Stove and Mbamalu] were on the roster, along with the best transfer he has brought in [Long]: and he finished 3rd in the regular season and had two miracle finishes in the SBC Tournament to get to the Dance. Big Fish can't coach well and does not recruit well.

I think he is a good recruiter but not a very good coach why we beat over lesser talent teams and get railroaded by equal or better.

He has only recruited 3 HS players so far who helped significantly as freshmen, plus Long who was a freshman transfer. I think he falls significantly short in both areas.
