After Handsome Monica went down with a knee injury in the UL baseball team’s opener at then-No. 14 Texas a season ago, Kole McKinnon caught every inning for the Ragin’ Cajuns the rest of the way.

With a 56-game regular season, plus three Sun Belt Conference Tournament games, that’s a lot of time behind the plate.
