If Marquetti would've played tonight, we would be winning. He wouldn't have allowed that 28 point App State lead with his mad defensive skills.

I don't agree at all. Marquette is a very good player but you got to have depth which we don't have and when you add poor coaching abilities with no depth you get what we have. A very average team in a poor conference. 1 NCAA appearance in 9 years ain't gonna cut it. You can pay me 2/3 less of what Marlin makes and I can give you the same result. Is Dr. Authement back in Martin Hall??

A few weeks ago, people were suddenly either throwing in the towel for the season or blaming recent losses on Marquetti’s injury, which I pretty much countered with the fact that it was coaching and a lack of recruiting a bench.

Must say that tonight was pretty disappointing after a solid week last week.

We beat two sub .500 teams last week. It was expected.

That’s the issue with this program. People celebrate wins against Caca State and Doldrum Junior College as if its some huge deal. But then, we end up losing to teams like App State because we are ill prepared.

This is where I agree with VO. Sugarcoating wins against a bunch of no-names do us more harm than good because we do not know how to prepare for the next level. And when our coaches and Krewe de Corner Bar justify it as it’s some big accomplishment, we end up in basketball limbo like we are now.

$500k and a full cost of attendance should give us MUCH more than what I saw tonight.

We are not a good basketball team. The performance last week was solid for this team. A win tonight was expected against this bad team. Certainly our team was at least expected to compete tonight. They failed miserably on both expectations.

Ah yes. Baseball.....

A program of ours that competes for National Championships and consistent postseason appearances. It’s a program that schedules P5 powerhouses for home games and knows how to beat them. It’s a program that has coaches and fans who actually approach their shortcomings by taking action without sugarcoating them. It’s a program that knows how to win in spite of bumps in the road. A program of no excuses.

2 more weeks.....just 2 more weeks.
