This is not the same team as last season, even if healthy.
Maybe but the Jazz have been healthy all year. Donovan Mitchell was not playing well and they struggle offensively without him. I absolutely think the Pels can beat them in 5 if both are healthy but we aren't going to get to see who is right. The Pelicans were the leading scoring team in the league on that 13-5 stretch and were playing better defense than last year in certain aspects. I agree with your comments about Boogie though. No thanks. We already gave away some young talent to get him on loan essentially and he got into a ____ing match with management here when he left. No chance we get him but I'm not interested anyhow.

Turned on the Pelicans vs. Rockets game last night to see Payton play only to find him again on injured list. Not an NBA fan, too much one on one stuff. But, was hoping to see what his game is like as a Pelican. The Rockets managed to lose to a team with 5 players on IR, but Harden got his 30+ points. The NBA game today just sucks.

Jason Tatum and Jaylon brown and 2 number 1’s would work for me.

I would take a combination of Tatum, Brown, Rozier and draft picks. But it may not be enough to match salaries and the Pelicans may have to eat another veteran contract go along with that package. I don't want draft picks that are protected if they are in the Top 10 picks.

Nope, the Jazz have not been healthy all season. Rubio and Exum were out together for several weeks. Exum is still out right now. That's their top two PG's on the roster. And they have had other injuries as well. There is any difference than the Pelicans for the most part.

Yep kind of like MBB standing for Men’s Baseball as if there is a Women’s Baseball.

On a college sports fan page 99.9% of the time the mention of AD stands for athletic director just as the mention of MBB is for men’s basketball. Got it? Glad I could help.

I forgot about the Exum injury but I'll stand by my assessment that we are a better team when both are healthy. The bottom line is that there are a number of teams ahead of us that we could move past to get in the playoffs. It won't happen now though as I don't believe Davis plays another game for us. It would be too risky on both parties to have him go out and tear up a knee or something where it would damage trade value.

Don't want any part of Lonzo Ball (or his father) in New Orleans.

I wait for the lottery to determine where my position comes up (if really lucky I might even pick first), and then I open the bargaining table. I'm looking for as many #1 unprotected draft picks over the next couple of years as I can get with a very solid starter.

Obviously, this means you're replacing everyone in the basketball side of the business (GM, Coaches, training staff, including Lomis) as I don't trust any of the current folks (due to 7 years of failing in putting together a competitive team) and putting an organization together that understands modern basketball, is capable of evaluating talent, and an administration who understands when and how much to pay for any young talent you want to grow with and any veterans you may want to add.

Is it easy, no, but considering where we're starting I think blowing it up is the best option. What I don't know is if Rita Benson is strong willed enough to do so. Tom Benson did it when he hired Jim Finks years back after understanding that what follies Mecom perpetrated on the Saints organization and fans for years had to change, so I'm hoping Rita remembers that and makes the change.

    Rant done.
So how much ya gonna get now that his agent said he’s not gonna resign with any other team than LA Lakers. That statement alone makes it imperative he blesses any trade or you’re getting squat even the Lakers. Your only wild card is the risk he takes of a career altering injury as an unsigned player in his final year.

Hearing that Gayle is adamant he not go there. That may not be wise but she is being egged on by other small market teams who want to slow down the super team concept. Other guys have said the same thing and they were still traded to other teams. If he does go to the Lakers, why do it now. It can still happen in the summer and the Lakers draft choice will likely be more valuable then. Reason is they may not make the playoffs without AD.
