That's what everyone thought about Paul George when the Thunder signed him. He's still there. I'd also take less to send him someone than LA as I don't want anyone on their roster and they don't have draft picks to fill what I'd want. Besides AD's agent has been colluding with Lebron and I'd actually love to make them wait two years until Lebron is 36. There are a few teams who will have top draft picks (or already have them) which they are more likely to give up than proven players.
AD's camp was fined 50 grand today for tampering. That will reduce things like this from happening in the future right-haha. At this point I take less than what the Lakers can offer just to make a point. Of course that won't think that way but plenty of teams have made good trades for rentals. That is what the Pels will do and it almost certainly will be to the East. They also won't do anything soon so as they can see what the draft lottery results are.
That depends upon the contract of Rozier. But he certainly would help the PG/G position for the Pelicans. I don't want any pieces that can't be locked down for 3 to 4 years. The core should be in place for a run, but you can't do it if contracts are coming up the next 1 or 2 years.
The Jazz played a large number of road games early in the season. If you have noticed, the Jazz are on a run again and somewhat healthy. The have a large number of games at home after the all-star break. No, I don't think a healthy Pelican team can beat the Jazz in a 5 game series, especially if they are the home team. This is not the same team as last season, even if healthy.
No, I want no part of Boogie. He doesn't play defense and he doesn't run the court well. This is why the Pelicans excelled without him in the first round. He takes too many shots away from Davis in the paint.
Not having Tatum as part of the package with Boston is a non-starter. I don't care how many draft picks they have and some of them are protected picks.
No trade to western conference teams.
Lebron is 34 and about the age when NBA players ability start to take a nose dive
Boston would be the smartest move for AD
It's not reaching. I was showing you what is termed a big market and what isn't. It's a moving target. I even posted an article for you to show you. Just because you are in a big media market does not make you a big market team. There are many other factors that go into that. I'm not saying they are a small market team at that time but they were not an L.A. or NY. Besides, it doesn't matter. They built what they have through the draft. There were NO big free agents who would even think of going to GS at that time. NONE. The Warriors didn't buy two anything. They drafted Steph, Klay and Draymond. Again, had they not done this, Durant is never on their radar.
I've been saying it for 3 months but I'd take an AD trade to GS for Klay and Draymond. Klay is going to want to get paid and is a FA. Draymond does not like KD and has been at odds with some of the players on his team. KD isn't going anywhere and I think Draymond might be the odd man out. I'd take that deal and run.
