Thread: AD wants out in NOLA

Default AD wants out in NOLA

As expected, Anthony Davis is requesting a trade. I spoke a few weeks ago how we should trade him before the deadline next month. Now that he's making this public, it needs to be done. I'm not sure how this affects his play for the rest of the year. The interesting part in this is that Boston can not trade for him as long as Kyrie Irving is on the roster even though Davis prefers going there. This will get interesting.

I will say I'm really disappointed in AD. I knew he wasn't going to sign the extension. It's been stated before or at least by sources. While I had hoped that the Pels would trade him this season to hopefully maximize leverage and get as much as possible for him, I'm curious as to why make this public now? You know the team is not interested in doing it now and you are still playing on a team that is trying to make a playoff push. That's pretty selfish ____ to me.

Pels are not making the playoffs this year

Sit AD on the bench tank and get a ton of assets for your selfish PF

They can do it. When healthy they are better than most of the teams ahead of them up to about the 5th spot. The big question is how do they approach the rest of the season now? They would have to go on some winning streaks and you have your best player who is effectively checking out on that mission.

He may know injuries to the other guys will keep them out a little while longer making it almost impossible to reach the playoffs. At least by informing them of this now, it prevents them from trading their No. 1 2019 pick in a foolish attempt to reach the playoffs.

    Trade?

Can we trade the Pelicans for an MLB franchise?

Gayle likes basketball as much as football. They are not going anywhere regardless of this situation.

Wait till the lottery is done then begin negotiating with teams for AD. We need high draft picks!

    😂😂😂

At some point cash flow matters even to the profit and loss ignorant. The crowds are bad and getting worse because she can’t put a winning team on the court but once or twice a decade.

Mike, I think if they were going to trade it, they would have investigated this sooner. The deadline is in 10 days. Injuries are not the issue either as they are nearing full health except for AD of course who's been out a week. His agent wanted to come public with this months ago but AD didn't allow him to. I guess he has now done it in hopes of bringing in the Lakers as the front runner since the Celtics cannot do anything until July 1.
