Even after a frustrating loss to Miami University in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, UL coach Tony Robichaux knew that his club could rebound to salvage the day.

All the Ragin' Cajuns had to do was play better defense.

A slew of errors resulted in a 7-5 loss in 11 innings in the first game, but UL stormed back for a 13-2 win in the nightcap at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

"We didn't really think that we got beaten in the first game because we really beat ourselves," Robichaux said "We felt that we played well enough to win.

"When you feel like you had a chance to win, it's easier to come back."
