Thread: NFC Champioship Decided by Inept Referees

It’s amazing how the QB of the team can get over this no call faster than most fans. Maybe Drew realized how bad they had been struggling and how his arm strength hasn’t been there and sees comfort in knowing they probably would have gotten beat by the Patriots in the Super Bowl anyway.

I get that the no call was one of the worst ever and is a disgrace to the game. Everyone keeps telling me the Saints get at least 3 points. This assumes a few things:

    1) No muffed snaps or fumbles by center, QB, and/or RBs
    2) The FG would be good (no bad snap, hold, or kick)

I remember listening to a game where the Cajuns stole one in Atlanta because Lutz missed not 1, but 2 short FGs.

Most likely they’re back in overtime assuming no kickoff return by the Rams for a TD.

So why ever call penalties? Bc you can’t assume any team will do anything with them so why call it? Dumb analogy. It’s like saying they shouldn’t call holding on the OL because they don’t think the DE could catch the RB anyway.

Understood, but even under the next worse scenario in any form, fumble, interception, etc. The Saints psyche is NOT spinning out of control.

The "no call" removed any possibility of focusing and confidence in your Mano-a-Mano abilities.

I have seen the Saints somehow snatch a loss from the jaws of victory in the last seconds of games over the years. From; missed FGs, blocked field goals, Hail Marys, missed extra points, fumbles, prevent defense, trick plays, bad clock management and BAD CALLS. Bottom line...........they're still the Saints

Also, Drew responded in a PC manner. One that couldn't be fined or twisted

I don't think he's over it. Nice subtle way to show who's he's pulling for in the Fraud Bowl

We've seen what you described countless times against the the Rams alone when they were in the same division, not including everyone else.

The difference was those loss snatchers were of their own making, not when the opponent had 14 men on the field.

There’s a difference between fans who watch football to get away from the rat race and multi millionaire pro player with almost 2 decades under his belt. It’s a job, and yet, some players are not over it.
