While I agree with you on the officiating crew somewhat, there is and has been a media bias when it comes to large and small market franchise in professional sports. When is comes to advertising dollars and potential viewing audience, the NFL and NBA are the worst when it comes to large market bias. You can watch is everyday on ESPN. No one is more happy than they when it comes to teams for NY, LA or Boston.
BTW, that officiating crew was considered one of the best in the NFL when it comes to the average number of calls per game. They were just terrible yesterday for the entire game, not just the one play.
was the crew chosen as a crew who had worked together prior, or more of an “allstar” crew?
the best way to get the NFL's attention is #justsaynotothesuperbowl. That and 500,000 signatures on a petition in under 48 hours. When the NFL loses viewership in a 2 state market the advertisers will notice.
I’d be willing to bet that at least 80% of the people who signed that petition will still watch the Super Bowl
