I don’t know if things are that bad. A good recruiting year including a stud player may open the coffin slightly.

Way too much is made about shoulder chips. Worse than 4th or I buy ya a lunch at walk ons, 5th or worse ya buy me one. Seems fair enough. Tied for 4th with 5th, or multiple ties the bets nullified. Of course tied for 3rd and 4th ya win.

True but in "this game" the chip was SO obvious it wasn't funny. We both predicted it days in advance.

The only thing we got wrong was how long the chip would benefit ULM. I thought the whole game, I was wrong. You thought 1-minute. The chip made an indelible mark for the first 10-minutes. A 22-point chip.

UL was an 18-point better team than ULM for the last 30-minutes of the game.

The coaches should know this and have the team ready to match their intensity from the tip. Inexcusable the way UL looked flat footed for the first 12 minutes

Great to hear about the st Louis kid. The thing is we need at least 3 athletic front court players to win against real teams. Where are the other 2 players going to come from? Unless we can pull 2 rabbits out of the hat this recruiting period it looks bleak for next year.

If the rumor is true that this is a “forgiven” year because of injury, I’ve just lost a ton of respect for Bryan Maggard and company. You don’t win 27 games, FAIL TO REACH THE FINALS OF THE SBC TOURNEY with said 27 win team, return 3 starters and 3 others that played significant minutes, including the best player in the league, and get to claim injuries (of which we have ONE proven player hurt) as the reason.

This gets more and more laughable. Cajun basketball is dead. It will take an act of the almighty to resurrect it.

You can't graduate 3 starters and return 3 starters. Simple math.

Also, one can not just respect people who agree wth you, otherwise their respect list will change daily.

I disagree. That and a lack of size is a huge problem. Gant is the ONLY athletic big, and he is not a match for a true 5.
