I completely agree. I just hate baseball and softball in general. The spring becomes real stagnant for me as a cajun fan.

I see others hanging on quotes from past games and past years but you are exactly right.

My take is it was going to be tough because they have never been more motivated, it would not matter who ULM was playing. The refs got them amped up.

Still as someone pointed out, Express I think, it is doubtful they could play with the same intensity predicted they would start with.

So it was refs that got them amped up? They weren’t the better team or didn’t outplay us?

Let’s face it. They were ready. We weren’t. They beat us regardless of the refs. And I bring up past quotes because when someone makes outlandish statements about our “greatness,” it’s expected to back them up. You don’t go tweeting about “being state champs” or talking about how “teams know that we are the standard” without proving it. Instead, we pulls stunts like today and lose.

So yeah, it’s infuriating.

By no means did he lose it individually. The point I was trying to make was one of our weaker FT shooters had more than 1/3 of his previous attempts on the season in today’s game, and it showed in the overall %.

You can't help what you like and don't like. Some people simply don't care for the diamond sports because of the slower pace. The intricacies of baseball are interesting to many but not all.

You can extrapolate anything through stats. We essentially shot our average as a team. The problem was that UL-Monroe shot 80% themselves, outrebounded us and hit more 3's. The good news was that we did keep the turnovers down from previous games.
