I’d like the saints to bring him home, but just like his dad he’ll be a first rounder

Saints do not have a first round pick.
It won’t be that hard to get back into the 1st round. Also he is like the 4th rated TE in the draft with a 2nd round grade according to several site. He is relatively small.

Noah Fant Will be the first TE off the board if Smith is around early to mid second saints would trade up If they believe he is the guy.

I liked Gesicki & Goedert way more than any TE this year

With Watson retiring (and even before that) the saints need to upgrade the TE position before next season one way or the other

Next year belongs to nobody. Brees to count 33 million towards salary cap in 2019. Brady 17 million. Looks like the piper gets paid if he is retained.

Salary cap to $190M next year. Brady's wife makes more than he does so money is not a concern, but I bet the NFLPA isn't happy with him.

I hope they all go before Smith. He is Taylor made for the saints offense.

But with Sheldon Rankins tearing his Achilles it might change our draft board.

An ACL tear is nothing nowadays but recovery time, especially for a DT

WR/ TE is by far the Saints biggest need

Rankins tore his Achilles’ tendon, not an ACL.

I thought the Brees no. for 2019 was about 25 million, not 33.
