Then why doesn't Marlin play him more?

Unfortunately, you kind of have to expect that in this conference.

He will start playing more. He had to adjust to the college game. He still is adjusting

He’s missed a lotta preseason practice due to concussion. That and being a natural freshman.

    Off the charts bad today.

That was not a travel. However, Stroman was obviously fouled when the ball was supposedly stolen from him. Also, Davis is the one who was able to get into the scrum and force the jump ball after it was lost by Stroman. Stroman was also fouled at that time. Blowing the 17 point lead was directly due to Stroman getting his fourth foul and having to sit so long. Wesley is our normal point guard and he is still out with the sprained ankle. Russell struggled more in that role than he did against Little Rock but that is not surprising as this one was on the road. It is obvious our team has lots of problems but for today they deserve to be congratulated for fighting until the end and finding a way to overcome lots of adversity. They won't make 13 threes often but everyone was needed today. Especially gratifying victory with all the other things they have been dealing with over the last week. Definitely going to enjoy this one as who knows how many more there will be with all the shortcomings the squad has.

Today was day one of Marlin earning his keep. Almost let this one slip, but close on counts in hand grenades and Carencro.

If y’all are talking about when he got up off the floor. That’s a travel by rule according to Jay and Cook. Can’t do that.

Thanks for the clarification. Forgot about that rule.

RJ Gladney needs more playing time than Justin Miller.

No he doesn’t. He needs to rotate between being Miller and Gant’s breather

Gladney has very limited offensive skills and struggles defensively other than going up to block shots. Granted, he showed today he does need more playing time.

If you’re challenged offensively you’d better bring some serious defense. Otherwise why you’re getting a grant and aid.

Was injured most of pre conference schedule. He is still getting his timing, feel, etc. More practice time and more game reps should get him more playing time as the season goes on.
