An 18 foter may be but a 10 footer is not a bad shot and could be effective. This is an area where I disagree with the philosophy. They believe Russell will eventually snap out of it. At this point who knows when “eventually” will be. Could be in April pick up games.
And Mike this is part of the problem. Your coach buys into this layup or 3 mentality that works with certain teams. When you aren't hitting the 3, you have to adjust and possibly drive more or like you said, take the midrange shot.

    They will?

Do y’all know how great those recruits would have to be? Six outstanding players left in the last two years. We’ve signed maybe two replacements, and maybe a third counting transfer Johnson. Nobody outside those three appear close to the six we’ve lost.

Just saw where Georgia State beat the WarHawks on a last second layup. This after a last second three beat them on Thursday night. Has to be frustrating on the part of the WarHawks. Panthers may run away with the league this season.

I don’t think there’s any question about it. They have been the class of the league since joining and it’s a shame we haven’t kept up. Even with our “best team” under marlin they still drilled us.

After a travel and pushoff according to coach Richard.

We are not a good team. ULM is better than us.

We will go as our 3 point shooting goes. Shoot em like today, and we should win every remaining game. Only, that's just not gonna happen more often than not.

Coach will coach them up and we will win.

43.3% & 45.9% from the field that is going to be hard to duplicate

Yes it will. However they did do a good job of moving the ball in and out allowing many of those perimeter shots to be clean looks. That will need to continue to even give themselves a chance.

.......Just a lil note on The loss of Marquetti.....I was at practice one day and he was in a shooting drill where he would jump to an outside area for quick 3 pointers....he probably made 45 out of 50...yes it was practice and just a guy running out on him, but damn impressive!
